Biochemical Methane Potential (BMP) Unit
We use an automated device, developed by Anaero Technologies, to determine the biochemical methane potential of biomass.
The unit comprises 15 reactors, each of a one-litre volume. All reactors are mixed at exactly the same speed and using stainless steel paddle systems that guarantee even mixing even for high solids mixtures. Temperatures are maintained via a water bath that incorporates a tight-fitting cover that minimises bath water evaporation loss, even at thermophilic temperatures.
