Heating Value (LHV - Calculated)
The Lower Heating Value (LHV) of a sample differs from the Higher Heating Value (HHV) in that it considers the energy required to vaporise the water generated when the Hydrogen and Oxygen elements of the biomass combine. This means that the Hydrogen content of the sample then becomes a reducing factor in the Heating Value. Click here for more information on heating values.
Celignis Analytical use formulae to calculate the LHV and HHV of samples, based on their elemental composition. Click here for details on these formulae.
