Heating Value (HHV - Calculated)
The Higher Heating Value (HHV) of a sample is reliant on the chemical composition of the material. A linear relationship exists between the heat of combustion and the Carbon content of the substrate while Oxygen, Nitrogen and Ash tend to reduce the value. Celignis Analytical use formulae to calculate the HHV and Lower Heating Value (LHV) of samples, based on their elemental composition. Click here for details on these formulae.
