Summary of Analytical Procedure | |||
This sample was analysed for free monsaccharides and detectable disaccharides and trisaccharides in solution. Subsequently, subsamples were subjected to mild acid treatment in order to hydrolse the oligosaccharides in solution. The hydrolysed solution was then analysed for monsaccharides contents after hydrolysis and the differences bewteen these sugars contents and those prior to hydrolysis were used to determine the sugars tied up in oligosaccharides in solution. |
